The risk assessment standards require the auditor to understand and respond to risks of material misstatement, whether due to errors or fraud. In reaching that understanding, auditors should identify risks to the entity’s business and the controls in place to mitigate them.

Part 1: This course provides an overview of the risk assessment process, the key requirements of the new standards and how these differ from current requirements
Objectives:

- Determine planning materiality
- Evaluate the design of the client’s entity-and activity-level controls
Part 3: In the third course, you’ll learn how to use your understanding of the client and its internal control design to assess risk and design an appropriate audit response. You’ll also discover how to evaluate audit results.
Objectives:
- Use your understanding of the client and its internal control to assess the risk of material misstatement
- Design an overall audit response and further audit procedures, based on your risk assessments
