This course is designed to keep the CPA abreast of the fast-paced changes for
accountants and auditors. Specifically, this course will outline Accounting topics such as ASU Updates (with specific emphasis on Fair Value and Consolidation), Private Company Financial Reporting, International Standards, and other FASB Projects (such as leases, financial instruments, revenue recognition, and the Financial Reporting Project). NOTE: the specific difference between this course and the AAUW (AICPA’s Annual Accounting and Auditing Workshop) is the level of detail with regard to each of the above mentioned topics.
Identify and apply recently issued FASB guidance
Assess the effect of recently issued auditing standards and standards on accounting and review services
Anticipate forthcoming guidance and standards in accounting, auditing, compilation and review services
Prerequisite: Experience in accounting and auditing.
