AICPA has partnered with the Enterprise Risk Management Initiative faculty at North Carolina State University to offer the 1½ day workshop: Strengthening Your Enterprise’s Risk Oversight for Strategic Benefit. This workshop helps senior executives and their board of directors respond to increasing expectations for greater risk oversight and develop effective approaches to identifying, assessing, and managing their entity’s most significant risk exposures, including emerging strategic risks. Executives in key roles, such as CFO, Controller, General Audit Executive, Treasurer, Chief Risk Officer, or equivalents, in addition to individuals serving on audit committees and boards, are being called upon to lead efforts to strengthen overall risk oversight in the organization. Participants will leave this workshop with tangible next steps for improving their enterprise-wide oversight of key risks, including information provided to boards and audit committees.
This high-level forum - limited to 50 participants - offers attendees an interactive setting for dialogue with leading experts on trends related to the intersection of ERM and board and audit committee governance and strategic planning, in addition to providing an opportunity for the exchange of ideas. In addition to the ERM Initiative faculty, speakers include executives leading risk oversight efforts in their organizations, in addition to individuals currently serving on boards and audit committees.
